This publication is intended to assist teachers to critically examine the implications of online education in the context of their own classrooms and profession. In addition to providing an overview of the issues, it offers guidelines to inform policy development, classroom practice, collective bargaining and general thinking about technology implementation in our schools. These guidelines are intended to help teachers and other educators navigate the uncharted ‘virtual waters’ of online education.
